Add fitness into your day, EVERYDAY! I know that what I offer to my clients is the best for their health. In order to preach it though, I have to also practice it.

About Nicole

I played sports and danced from the time I was three years old. Growing up I was always able to get out my energy either on the court, field, or in the dance studio. Later I went to college for Marking and Fashion and continued to teach dance, however my activity level greatly decreased. I was not completely happy, always feeling like I something was missing. On top of this I was not following healthy habits.

When I was 25, I decided to leave the corporate world and pursue a career in Massage Therapy. I truly found a passion for the learning about the human body and most of all being able to help others.

I didn’t want my quest for better health and providing a healthy service for others to stop there though. Having a background in athletics and an interest in Anatomy and Kinesiology, I decided to get certified as a fitness trainer. I found a nine month accelerated Professional Fitness Training Program at Branford Hall Career institute. That is where I met Joe Carabase. Joe was one of my instructors and shortly after became a mentor. I have learned so much working in this field and working for Joe.

Being in this industry has not only taught me how to manage the health and fitness of my clients, but also my own. I know what a struggle it can be to get to weight loss and fitness goals. As a Professional Fitness Trainer and Massage Therapist I have changed my outlook ( and bad habits) and created healthier ones for myself. I take pride in the services that I provide to others because it will overall give them a better quality of life.

Don’t ever quit. When you fall off the track with your eating habits or your workouts, don’t give up. It happens to everyone, so don’t dwell on it. Pick yourself up and continue on more focused. Tomorrow is a brand new day, and yesterday is in the past.

About Sue

Knowing that I’m eating healthy and exercising gives me the confidence that I’m doing all I can to care for the one and only body I have. Eating healthy and exercising makes me feel better, look better, I feel more energized and that just makes me happy.

For as far back as I can remember, I’ve loved to exercise. I didn’t have a weight problem; I just wanted to stay fit. I’d get excited about the newest exercise video or DVD being advertised on TV, order it, use it for a few months, and become bored with it, never to use it again. The money I spent could have paid for the school I ended up going to. Eventually, I made the decision to learn more about proper exercising for myself, with the intention of becoming a professional fitness trainer in order to help others. Having done the research, I chose Branford Hall Professional Fitness Training Program. 900 classroom hours, 100 externship hours, and an ACE exam later, I am using my education and experience to take the best care of myself, and to help my clients to reach their fitness goals through boot camps and personal training, and it is more rewarding than I could have ever imagined!

Know that you can lead a health fit life. Make exercise a part of everyday, eat healthy, surround yourself with supportive people and get plenty of sleep.

About Barbara

What motivates me to keep working out and staying active is the feeling of accomplishment I get after a workout. To be able to have great workouts I need to fuel my body right so I need to eat healthy.

My motivation comes from how good I feel when I take care of myself. I have more energy, my mood is happier and I have a positive attitude. I am also motivated to be as healthy as I can be so I can care for my family and be an example to them.

I grew up in Rockville, CT. I was involved in serveral types of sports as a kid such as track, softball and gymnastics. Later in life I competed in amateur bodybuilding. As an adult I am still on the move, group exercise, hiking, running, training on my own, swimming etc. My mother was a dietitian, which inspired me to have an interest in nutrition and other health areas. All the women in my family have struggled with their weight. Thankfully my inability to sit still has helped me keep my weight at a healthy range, but it take some work. Seeing my family struggle with weight and health issues motivated me and gave me a desire to help others live an all around healthy life. By encouraging people to enjoy the sun, eat a balanced diet, surround themselves with positive healthy people and get as much exercise in their day as they can. It is all possible. My newest challenge is to inspire, motivate and encourage my teen age son to do the same.

About Aaron

My competitive nature to continue to always improve my body. How great it makes me feel.

I first got into fitness by accident. I always played sports and always have been competitive. I was never the fastest player or the strongest so I needed an edge. As I entered middle school I was introduced to weight lifting by a friend of mine. I fell in love with it and the way it made me feel. As my sports career entered my college years I knew I needed a fallback option in case sports didn’t work. So I choose a career in my new found passion. I studied sports and exercise science for four years and continued my education at Branford Hall Career Institute. There I learned the skills I needed for a career in the field that I love, and get to share my passion with great people every day.

Get outside your comfort zone, to truly change you can't be afraid to fail to try something you have never done. Maybe it's just one more rep or 5 more seconds in that plank but then next week it's 2 more reps and 10 more seconds, all because you went till you gave out and not when you wanted to give in.

About Greg

I have been in the fitness industry for close to 10 years which began with my interest in sports and athletics. In high school I spent time in the training room with some injuries and really began it appreciate what my Athletic Trainers did for me to get me back to doing what I loved (playing football).

After high school I got my BS in athletic training from Plymouth State University in hopes to help out other athletes, but a serious car accident took 30% of the usage of my left arm and the chance to be on the field. With my background I decided to pursue exercise science and received my masters from SCSU. My drive still comes from the desire to help people get back to what they love, it may not be a game but is instead a healthier more active quality of life.

Being a dad I understand the importance of having the energy to play with my kids and fitting in a minimum of 90 minutes a week to myself helps me do that.

Best Fitness Tip

Fitness is a lifelong journey, not an all-or-nothing approach. If you eat something bad, enjoy it and focus on eating better the next time. If you miss a workout, look forward to how good you will feel after your next workout. If you just don’t feel like working out, pick three of your favorite exercises and perform two total sets of 10 reps each—not only will you feel better, but I bet you’ll end up doing more!

About Joe

For me I love the feeling of physical exertion: the burning of my muscle fibers and my heart rate cranking. Even more, I love the way I feel each day because of my discipline eating and workout routine. I view the human body as a working piece of art and we are all given the opportunity to sculpt it to its greatest potential. My lifelong goal is to reach my greatest potential and more importantly help millions of people reach theirs.

In a growing fitness industry with fly by the night personal trainers and gimmicky info products, I pride myself and my coaches on being one of the few Authentic Fitness Coaches who lives what he preaches, sincerely cares about clients and delivers rapid results to people of all fitness levels.

I’ve been in fitness for over 7 years and through extensive trial and error, I have created a workout system driven by functional movement, cross training and intensity that shreds body fat while building a lean and tone physique. The biggest proponent of my programs are the lack of time spent actually training. My professionally designed programs and expert life style tips allow his clients (and myself) to look better naked with 10-30 minute workouts.

For two years I worked as the Director of Professional Fitness Training at Branford Hall Institute. I earned a degree in Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts of Amherst.

I am extremely passionate about helping others achieve their goals and feel blessed to have the opportunity every day make our client’s time spent with us the best part of their day.
